What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage and session storage, work in a similar way. They help websites remember your preferences, keep features working and understand how visitors use the site.
How We Use Cookies
Minimap Mod keeps cookie use to a minimum. The Website works fully without non-essential cookies, and we never use cookies to sell your data or show you targeted advertising.
Types of Cookies We Use
| Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Essential (session storage) | Remembers that you closed the newsletter pop-up | Until you close the browser |
| Analytics (optional) | Counts visits and popular pages anonymously | Up to 12 months |
| Third-party | Set by embedded services such as Google Maps and Google Fonts | Set by the provider |
Third-Party Cookies
Some pages include content from other services. The contact page embeds Google Maps, and our fonts load from Google Fonts. When you click a download button, Modrinth or CurseForge may set their own cookies on their websites. These providers control their cookies, and their own policies apply.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
- See which cookies are stored and delete them individually or all at once.
- Block third-party cookies.
- Block cookies from specific websites.
- Delete all cookies when you close the browser.
Check the help section of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge or your mobile browser for instructions. Blocking cookies will not stop our guides from working.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common standard for this signal, the Website does not currently respond to it, but we collect only minimal data in any case.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or change services. The latest version is always available on this page with its "last updated" date.
